CGM Consulting Group has joined The Pro Energy Alliance in efforts to educate utilities Compliance, Maintenance, and Operations staff.
Along with other members of the Pro Energy Alliance Group, an organization fostering the
education and understanding of reliability within the energy industry,
CGM Consulting Group will be participating in a set of Best Practice workshops hosted throughout the United States.
These workshops are designed to educate attendees on Best Practices of performing maintenance and testing on Generation and Transmission Protection System components such as; Protective Relays, DC Supply (Batteries), Instrument Transformers (CT & PTs), DC Circuitry, and associated Communication Devices. Along with maintenance and testing practices, a member of the drafting team responsible for drafting the NERC Reliability Standard PRC-005-2 will be on hand to discuss the standard and answer questions related to changes in the standard. Attendees will get a head start in making the necessary implementations to their Maintenance and Testing Program that are required in the new standard. This is something that is important to the industry when we are all trying to avoid a $25 million dollar penalty.
